The Finnish Volunteer Battalion of the Waffen-SS is at the printer and we should have it on April 25. Hurry to get in on the pre-pub.

March 20 2013

Dear Friends:

Well, here it is, the next pre-publication offer: The Finnish Volunteer Battalion of the Waffen-SS by Wilhelm Tieke. The book has just gone to the printer and we expect it in the last week of April. This is the second book in our limited print-run series, so get your order in quickly. Follow the link for all the details.

From new books, we offer one title which should be in stock in about two weeks - from Schiffer Publishing The Knight's Cross with Oakleaves, 1940 - 1945.

We have held our shipping rates as low as possible for some time now. However, the Postal and UPS rates have shot up in the past few years, and it does not look like the price of fuel will drop dramatically (there's a surprise!). As a result we will be raising the North American shipping rates as following:

First book - $16.00

Each additional book - $5.00

The new rates will go into effect on April 16, 2013, so order before then to save an additional few bucks.

We are working on several more titles. Our next book will be bigger and should make everyone happy. More on that in a few weeks.

PLEASE NOTE: We are now down to our last 10 copies of Panzertaktik and Fire Brigades, last chance to grab them before they are out of print.

Have a nice weekend, John and Sharron

March 14, 2013

Dear Friends:

We had a bit of a hiatus here, well-deserved vacations, etc. But back to work! This week we have two new books to offer. From Schiffer: The Spanish in the SS and Wehrmacht, 1944 - 1945, The Ezquerra Unit in the Battle for Berlin; and from Rinaldi Studio Press: Tank Art Volume 1.

The Desert War Then and Now from After the Battle should be in around mid-April so reserve your copy now. The following two books should be here in 2 - 3 weeks: from History Facts: The OKH Toy Factory and from S.I. Publicaties BV, Holland: The FG 42.

The Panther Battalion "Brandenburg" book has now been delayed until November 2013 due to a discovery of a new archive that should add new photos and information. We will continue to take orders and will keep you posted.

Next week we should have our next title offered as a pre-publication. Work is also coming along on the next two books. More details as soon as we can provide them.

Have a nice weekend, John and Sharron

About Us

J.J. Fedorowicz Publishing went into business in 1983 as Military Book Distributor, selling other companies’ books through the mail. Many of those books were in German, and so during the next few years a number of individuals commented on how it would be nice to see them in English. I investigated the costs and possibilities, and the first book was printed; 400 copies of a 40-page biography on Paul Hausser (how many of you own that one?). This was followed by European Volunteers, the first hard cover and first translation. And here we are now, almost 100 books later, and many more to go.

From the first day, the company’s objective was to provide translations of the very best German-language books covering the German ground forces in WW II and to publish them in a format that would last many years (hard cover, on acid-free paper, with laminated covers). It appears that we have been fairly successful.

Started as a one-man operation by John Fedorowicz, the company grew steadily until more help was needed. Over time, 3 partners came on board and we added Tiger Hobbies as a local outlet for modelers and book buyers. Eventually, as times and economic circumstances demanded, the company has returned to the original owner. However, Sharron, who came on board in 2002 as office manager, has stayed to keep me in line and on target. Ken helps with Tiger Hobbies. So here we are, John, Sharron and Ken - when you call you will get one of us.

Defying the hard economic situation, we plan to publish many more excellent books in the future and to serve your reading and modeling needs for many more years.
